Participants who undertake this training will be working within the command, control and coordinate structure of the emergency control organisation (ECO). This training has been developed to cover a broad range of emergencies and workplaces as considered in Australian Standard (AS) 3745-2010.

It includes preparing for emergency situations, identifying and assessing an emergency, safely confining emergencies, using initial response equipment and reporting on the facility’s emergency response. This unit has been developed to cover the requirements of a facilities as specified in Australian Standard (AS) 3745 – 2010.

This presentation covers all the necessary procedures required to assist a person suffering from anaphylaxis or an asthma flareup. It includes the early recognition of anaphylaxis and asthma and the pre-ambulance care, treatment and management of a person experiencing anaphylaxis and/or asthma.
This course satisfies the minimum training requirements for teachers in NSW to take students on excursions. Please note that excursions involving overnight stays or water activities must include CPR which is separate to this presentation. This module covers a broad spectrum of first aid incidences including trauma, medical emergencies, environmental illness (overexposure to heat and cold) and bites and stings. This course does NOT entitle the participant to become a 'nominated workplace first-aider' under the WHS Act 2011.
